RECONSIDERATION POLICY
Reconsideration Policy
Please download, complete, and forward a Request for Reconsideration form to the Library Director who will review the request with the Library Board of Trustees. Use additional pages, as necessary. The person submitting the form must be a resident of Maplewood, NJ. Requests for reconsideration made by residents of other communities will not be considered. Access to material under reconsideration shall not be restricted during the re-evaluation process.
Borrowers are reminded that under the terms of the American Library Association’s Intellectual Freedom Statement and the Library Bill of Rights, the Library is obligated to provide books and other materials on all varieties of opinion, including those of an unpopular or unconventional nature.
