Ibi Zoboi is a local, bestselling author of children's, middle grade, and young adult books. Her books Nigeria Jones and Star Child: A Biographical Constellation of Octavia Estelle Butler have won the Coretta Scott King Award, and her book American Street was a National Book Award Finalist.
