As you may have already heard, significant changes are being made to the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) this year. The time it has taken to make these updates has caused a delay in opening the FAFSA. While the application typically opens on October 1st, it is now expected to open in December.

The organization My College Planning Team has created a virtual mini specialty workshop called Big Changes Coming to the FAFSA, Are You Ready? Now more than ever, families must pay attention and know what is coming. These FAFSA changes will impact the cost of college for many families.

In this 30 minute workshop, they will cover: 

• What the FAFSA changes entail

• How these changes will affect families

• What families need to understand before the release date 

Who will be most affected by the FAFSA changes? 

• Middle-income families

• Students with divorced parents

• Business and farm owners

• Families with more than 1 child in college
