For school age children

A relaxed and friendly atmosphere for kids to practice reading out loud to a certified therapy dog. Build confidence and reading skills!

Kids will meet Sufi, a 6-year-old Corgi mix who is a certified therapy dog, and read aloud to Sufi in the Meeting Room at Hilton Branch, with the handler, librarian, and parent nearby.

All time slots are sold out, but PLEASE PUT YOUR NAME ON THE WAITING LIST, so we can measure the demand for this program.

STEP 1: Pre-register for a 15 minute time slot. Time slots are: 6:30pm ; 6:45pm ; 7pm ; 7:15pm

STEP 2: Arrive 15 minutes early to confirm your spot and to pick out something to read.
Late comers may forfeit their time slot to other children

STEP 3:  The child and the dog will work together in the quiet meeting room of the Hilton Branch Library, with the handler and parent nearby.
