KidPower! presents Snakes (virtual)

ONLINE - Tune in and learn about different types of snakes and how to care for them. Let’s shed a positive light on this sometimes misunderstood creature.

Kid Power! Workshops are created and presented by the talented kids and teens in our community.  They offer our local youth an opportunity to be seen, heard, and appreciated.

For ages 8 +

Presented by Ahadu Chase, a creative and artistic homeschooled 14 year old Orange resident—Who will now be transitioning to Montclair Kimberley Academy High School. He is a phenomenal djembe drummer who has performed with Umoja Dance Studio and is a current drummer for Zawadi Dance group, where he recently performed in Fayetteville North Carolina’s first annual Juneteenth celebration. In 2019 he performed in Savion Glover’s Tap Dance Kid at NJPAC—He performed as the understudy to the main character, Willie. Ahadu has also been a regular yearly presenter at the Maplewood libraries for the past several years. As a developing tap dancer (hoofer) under the training of Maurice Chestnut, he performed in a campaign PSA for the now Westward Councilman of the city of Newark, Dupree Kelley.

This program will be presented on Zoom; registration is required.
