How to Do College Research

RESCHEDULED FROM SEPTEMBER 24

Rising high school seniors are finalizing their college lists, and juniors are just beginning to put together the first columns on their Google sheets. All of these students need innovative ways to research colleges during the pandemic.

Come to this free virtual presentation with Christina Taber-Kewene of CTK College Coach to learn how to create and refine the college list, including
- How to research schools
- What factors to consider in creating the college list
- A timeline for virtual and in-person visits, and
- Gathering information from trusted sources

REGISTRATION REQUIRED

Christina will also launch the College Connection (a collaboration among the Achieve Foundation, Maplewood Library’s Teen Librarian, Emily Witkowski, and CTK College Coach), an accessible and free database of local current and recent college students who are willing to share their experiences at their colleges with high school students gathering information for their college lists. This database will be managed in the future by the Columbia High School Guidance Department as they continue to grow alumni connections for students.
