A guardianship is a legal tool that allows one person or entity to make decisions for another. The program will open with a showing of the documentary short Edith+Eddie followed by a presentation and discussion on understanding how guardianship works in NJ, the process, issues and pitfalls. The discussion will be facilitated by Drew J Bauman, Esq. Bauman is a long time attorney and resident of Maplewood and was recognized for his Pro Bono Services working with guardianships by The New Jersey Judiciary in October 2018.
This COYL series comes from observations and conversations about the need for older residents to think beyond having a will for advance planning, legal issues and important health events.
